Florence Black (@florenceblack1954)is a London based Fashion House who envisions a world dressed for the occasion. The house believe every individual has a story to tell, the clothes we wear hold the story of our life.
With this film, I aimed to portray a world suspended between past and present, strongly inspired by the Italian way of living — la dolce vita — and by an appreciation for everyday pleasures and life’s finer details.
Set in a historic house in Salento, the story observes a group of friends sharing a vacation together. From an omniscient point of view, it captures how this unique way of life awakens their emotions, shapes their relationships, and guides the journey they share.
Visually, the film is crafted to feel as though the audience is present, yet never intrusive. Each shot is composed like a painting, with framing choices that reinforce a third-person perspective — intimate enough to sense the characters’ inner worlds, but distant enough to preserve their private space. The result is a contemplative, atmospheric portrait of togetherness, nostalgia, and the timeless charm of Italian living.
